Meet Our Board Of Directors
Our board is composed of dedicated individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, all committed to advancing our mission of providing a place of safety, hope and restoration for women with addictions.
Chairperson: Dr. Tim Berry
Dr. Tim Berry, the current board chair of the John 3:17 Ministry, has served with dedication for over a decade, drawing on his extensive 40-year career in sales and marketing, including 24 years at Microsoft, before transitioning to teach at Harding University’s School of Business following his recent retirement from corporate America. Married to Susan for 36 years, Tim is a proud father to Stephanie, who is pursuing a career as a Licensed Trauma Counselor. Passionate about helping those in need, Tim’s commitment to the ministry stems from witnessing its life-changing impact, and his leadership ensures the ministry remains a well-run instrument of God’s transformative grace.
Treasurer: Suzanne Hutchinson
A devoted board member and treasurer of the John 3:17 Ministry for over a decade, Suzanne leverages her 25+ years of experience at Whitmire and Company accounting firm to ensure the organization’s financial integrity. Raised on a family farm in Southern Jackson County and actively engaged with the Beedville Church of Christ, Suzanne, alongside her husband Shane, has been a committed member of the ministry’s host, Remmel Church, for 20 years. Residing in Newport, Arkansas, with three children and five grandchildren, she finds profound inspiration in witnessing God restore the lives and relationships of the ministry’s women as they transition from darkness to light.

Board Member's: Robert & Becky Foster
Married for 42 years and business partners for 40, Robert and Becky bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the John 317 Ministry board, where they have served since 2014. As founders of Intimidator Inc. and creators of the Spartan Mower, they successfully built and sold a manufacturing business to The Toro Company in 2022, showcasing their entrepreneurial acumen. Their deep commitment to the ministry’s mission is evident in their active involvement, particularly Becky’s cherished role on the family day team, where she witnesses the transformative power of God’s grace in the lives of women recovering from addiction.
Board Member: Dr. Karen Jones
A founding board member of the John 3:17 Ministry, Dr. Karen Jones brings a profound commitment to faith and healing, informed by her extensive experience as a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a private practice in Newport. Educated at Harding University, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and St. Louis University School of Medicine, she and her husband Arvil, an elder at the ministry’s home church, Remmel Church, have raised seven daughters and now cherish five grandchildren. Dr. Jones finds the ministry’s work transformative, noting that the miracle of new life she witnesses as an obstetrician is surpassed by the spiritual renewal she sees in the women restored through the program, lending her expertise and heart to ensure the ministry’s compassionate and effective operation.
Board Member: Allen Wagner
A recent addition to the John 3:17 Ministry board, Allen brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal compassion, shaped by his own journey of recovery. A 1987 Harding University graduate, Allen will earn his MBA from Harding in May 2025 and serves as an adjunct professor in the Construction Science department. As President of Wagner General Contractors, Inc., with offices in Bartlett, TN, and Kensett, AR, he leads alongside his wife Lisa, the CFO, managing commercial construction projects. Blessed with three children—Hannah, Hayden, and Harper—Allen’s deep faith and empathy for those overcoming addiction strengthen the board’s mission, ensuring the ministry remains a well-guided beacon of hope and transformation.
Board Member: Gary Gregg
A founding board member of the John 3:17 Ministry,Gary brings a wealth of experience from his distinguished career in business, public and private education, and Christian higher education, culminating in his recent retirement from Harding University’s College of Bible and Ministry. Residing in Searcy with his wife Carolyn, Gary is a devoted father to three children and grandfather to six, with a lifelong commitment to serving those in need. His faith in God’s redeeming power is continually reinforced as he witnesses the transformative journeys of the women in the ministry, moving from despair to renewed life, ensuring the ministry’s steadfast and compassionate governance.
Board Member: Rhonda Qualls
A new and inspiring addition to the John 3:17 Ministry board, Rhonda is the first graduate of the program to join the board, bringing a decade of sobriety and a powerful perspective from her own recovery journey. Married to Danny for 25 years, they come from three generations of farm families in Lake City and Lawrence County, Arkansas, and actively serve at Central Baptist in Jonesboro. A 1991 Arkansas State University graduate, Rhonda spent 16 years in medical and pharmaceutical sales and now works as a veterinary technician and animal welfare investigator at the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society. With a daughter, Kelsey, and granddaughter, Harper, Rhonda’s passion for helping women overcome addiction, informed by her firsthand experience, strengthens the board’s ability to guide the ministry with empathy and effectiveness.
